Recently, Korah’s Green Council performed recycling and waste audits on your trash! And the results are in. Here are some “Korah Green Facts” regarding Korah’s garbage.

Highlights from final game against St. Basils.
Our girls turned in a valiant effort and pushed the St. Basil Saints to the wire on route to a 49 to 42 set back. Our girls definitely out worked the Saints which resulted in many turnovers. The girls should be very proud of their effort and how they left everything they had on the court. Abigail Fogg led the Colt attack with 17 points while Adri Ivey added 10 and Sam Iacoe chipped in with 9.
The coaching staff and girls would like to thank the fans who were simply outstanding. You were definitely a difference maker. You were loud and the girls definitely fed off that positive energy. Korah hosts NOSSA this year.
Congratulations go out to Abigail Fogg who was this years winner of the Referee’s Award which
combines sportsmanship and athleticism.
Student Council ran a cancer awareness and fundraiser on Friday. Students wore pink and for $2.00 got a sticker that said "BeCause I care".

On October 8th, 2010, Korah’s leadership class hosted its annual students and alumni duathalon. This year’s du course was set up in the surrounding Korah neighborhood and consisted of a 5km run, a 20km bike and a 2.5 km run. A total of 56 participants competed in both the team and individual categories.
Every year the graduating Colts put on a fashion show to raise funds for graduation and prom. After last year’s top-notch "What Not To Wear" fashion show, the Colts needed to think of something extra special. This year’s theme "So You Think You Can Dance" really suited the show, as the dances were amazing.
Since 1999, dragons have swarmed the St. Marys River near Topsail Island in Bellevue Park. The Dragon Boat Festival pits teams of 20 rowers against one another, all in the name of fun and charity. Seventeen teams took part this year, with all proceeds supporting the Sault Search and Rescue and the Sault Family YMCA.
This year Korah’s track and field team showed continued signs of improvement. 67 athletes competed in city meet with 40 qualifying for the NOSSA championships in Sudbury. Our NOSSA gold medalists included Corey Conforzi with gold in the 100 meter, 200 meter, and 400 meter events, setting a new record in the 100 meter; Cydney Mihell in the 300 meter hurdles, Abigail Fogg in the javelin, and Rachel Ivey in the shot put, who also set a new NOSSA record. Other finishes that qualified for OFSAA included, Cydney Mihell placing second in the 400 meter race, Jaimee Carter placing second in triple jump, Rachel Ivey placing third in the discus, Stephen Maloney placing second in high jump, and Nick Burns placing second in the 3000 meter race.
